General
Yoga Class
General yoga classes seated or lying down, learning to 'switch off' and pay
attention to the breath. Then we commence gentle stretches and warm ups for the
feet, toes, calves, thighs, hips, shoulders, neck and wrists done either supine
(lying down), prone, kneeling, seated or standing. This is followed by some
strengthening exercises for the 'core support' muscles, sometimes using muscle
energy techniques, sometimes performed as flowing sequences. After that we wind down
with forward or back bends, some inversions or supine recovery poses. Gentle twists
often form a prelude to some pranayama (seated breathing techniques), which is
followed by a relaxation period, usually lying down and being very comfortable,
learning visualisation techniques and learning to focus inwardly to bring relaxation
and healing to all the cells of the body.

'Although I've moved to Manchester I still come to Lucy's classes because I find her classes so helpful and centering. I also want my boyfriend to come and experience such a good and knowledgeable teacher' - Susie
'Lucy always takes such great care of us' – Maureen
